speed Bumps

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
 in all your ways acknowledge him,
   and he will make your paths straight.”

-Proverbs 3:5-6

Well friends, I had my mind set to start uploading pics to share as soon as we returned (yesterday) from our longest Road Trip yet… right up until we hit a few speed bumps in the road of life.  Among other unsettling news, the worst news we got Thursday morning was about the failing health of my beloved Grandpa. The boys’ Great Grandpa has cancer & it has already managed to spread to many various areas, apparently going unnoticed for quite some time.

Needless to say, this was unexpected news, but not a shock. Grandpa is 80yrs old & has fought with diabetes & other things for a long time now. We will not know how long the Dr’s expect him to live for a few days, pending biopsy results & other tests. It is clear though, that he & the family want for him to spend time at home as a family rather than in the hospital prolonging the eventual outcome. While we would miss Grandpa terribly, we would never want him to suffer & he will be the one to choose his own course of treatment…

In the meantime, we pray. If you are able to pray with us in faith, please do. Pray for healing, either here or in Heaven. Pray that whatever unsettled business Grandpa may have with Father has been or will be settled long before his journey to Heaven begins. Pray for the young people in our family that have never experienced this type of impending loss/grief in their lives yet… Including my 3 boys, especially Tryston (12)… Pray that Father will show Himself faithful & we will give all glory to Him as this time may also be one of healing in family relationships & that others may come to know/see Jesus’ love  through this  journey we walk as a family… Thanks for your prayers!

*Pray for our continued travel/speaking dates = 13+  in the next 10 wks.*

*MAJOR BUDGET PROGRESS! – see right panel/’moving plane’ by Christmas!*

Road Trip update coming soon. Once things settle back down here.
