Jewish Prayer Shawl

Sharpen Up!

What did YOU learn about Jesus this week???

Jewish Prayer Shawl

I learned: HEM/BORDER/EDGE (of a garment) = WINGS (in Hebrew) = TASSELS (on the 4 corners of the prayer shawl that EVERY Jewish man was required to wear in Jesus’ day)

PROPHECY: “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” -Malachi 4:2

FULFILLED: “And wherever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.” -Mark 6:56

“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. ” -Mathew 9:20-22

Well friends, the TRUTH shall set us all free & a simple truth I live by is that the IRON in you sharpens the IRON in me… So if you’re reading this, take a moment to leave a comment – I would love to learn whatever God’s been teaching you this week!
